Had steaks, ribs, and grouper. Meat was loved by all. My daughter said the filet was one of the best she's eaten. Fried grouper was slightly over cooked, but still good. The salad and loaded baked potatoes were right on. Service was a little slow, but we didn't mind. It might not be a great choice if you're in a hurry. If you want a relaxing dinner, it's perfect. Will definitely go back.

At 5:36 pm we checked our name with the hostess, she advised us that it would be 20-25 minute wait time. So - at 6:39 we got a table, a 20-25 min wait turned into 1 hr & 3 min. wait! Got our table and when our waiter came to get our drinks we immediately went ahead and ordered everything. 15 minutes later there was a family seated at the table next to us. 30 minutes later another family on the other side. Had to constantly ask for our drinks to be refilled the entire meal. 45 minutes after ordering our food our appetizers of crab cakes arrived - tasted good - until we got to the second crab cake, it was full of shell pieces!! No kidding- almost got choked. 1 hour and 10 minutes after placing our order we got our food! But during this wait the people who seated after us had gotten there food and was almost finished! Everyone's food was good, nothing exceptional but the steak my wife had, I ordered grilled shrimp with my one as extra. The shrimp was not cooked well, some shrimp were perfect, some over cooked & two were almost raw on the inside. Finished our meal and left at 8:30pm. 3 hours later!! Night shot! Not pleased! Asked if this was normal for them to be understaffed and the waiter looked surprised! Said, "We're not under staffed." But to use and the family seated to our right we all thought there were extremely short handed!! We will never eat there again!!!!

The exterior of the place is really pretty bland and if not for Yelp we would never have stopped. That's one reason I really like Yelp. This place is well worth a visit. We had great service from a super awesome waitress. Always there to refill or clear a plate. She had several tables so we were even more impressed by the attentiveness. The food was all great except my scallops. Bread as a starter was plentiful and the salads were great. I had the wedge with blue cheese and it was perfect. Dressing was the bomb on both mine and my wife's house salad. The steak was one of the best sirloins both my wife and I ever had. Perfectly cooked and didn't need sauce. The grilled seafood platter was all great except those scallops. Great shrimp and fish and a good crab cake. The key lime pie was the best piece of key lime pie I have ever had. If not for that one thing I would give 5 stars. Definitely try the place. Oh, and from 3-6 is early bird and happy hour specials that are excellent.

We walked away calling this 'Triple Fail' Saturday night, so I think there is probably a solid reason for a 30 minute wait to eat here. The weird thing is that the place is completely empty. There are more people in the waiting area sitting waiting to be seated than there are in the restaurant. We walk in, see all the people - think it must be good with all of the ratings. So we're willing to wait -- until we get to the hostess area and look in to see that there are no more than 10 people in the entire restaurant... empty tables as far as the eye can see. Seriously, there are more people in the waiting area than in the restaurant. We put our names on the list - party of 3. 'That will be a 30 minute wait.' Super. It actually means we don't have to wait at all. We left. Hopefully the food is better than this experience. Not worth it for us to stick around to find out.

This restaurant is nice inside deceiving from outside. Was there for happy hour bogo on draft beer. Ordered smoked tuna dip. Very good. Stopped there. Ordered the crab cakes and I am a CC freak. I sent these back. Undercooked for my taste. Also someone was trying to be to fancy on the recipe. Sometimes less is better. Nuts and weird seasoning. Did not order anything else other folks with me already eating entree usually at that point I don't order more. My phone had died or I would had taken photos of food.

Meh. It was convenient to my (unfortunate) hotel and advertised an early bird special so I gave it a shot. The prime rib was okay but the star was the fried green tomatoes WHICH may or may not be a good thing considering it was prime rib. Do know that early bird special in Florida is code for "if you're under 50, you'll be the youngest person there and by no small margin." Decent, albeit forgettable meal at a reasonable price.

we are leaving two stars for my sons chicken tenders. this is a steak house, so we were expecting great steaks and we're disappointed. from the wait we were spectilcal but we tried overrated and overpriced. all portions. 8oz steak, 12oz, & 16oz were looking less than their weight. no flavor on steak or on pasta my daughter order. steak fries were dry. complement bread was so late no one wanted it then got the check and my family of 5 had 20% gratuity added already. chicken tenders were good and good portion!! lol

Triple J has been a go-to for my family for 20+ years. The steaks have always been good. A bit pricey, but probably worth it.

Great atmosphere. Nice and polite employees. We called and made a reservation for 14 and they were ready at the time specified. I ordered the filet. It was seasoned well, no sauce needed. I did however get mine cooked a little too done. I wish I had went with medium not medium well... (my bad).

I have been to this restaurant many times and I always have a great meal. The service is good and the place is clean. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steak or sandwich.

Early Bird Special was reasonably priced and food quality was excellent. My wife ordered the Prime Rib. It was Prime, very tasty, and rare, just the way she likes it. It had the fried Gulf Shrimp. They were excellent. lightly breaded, and juvenile. Overall a very satisfying meal.

Went for the early bird specials at 4:00 and there was no wait at all. Prices were reasonable for the food portions. Everything was delicious! Best ranch dressing I've had. Sirloin and fried green tomatoes were good. Also had a bite of the fried pork chops. Pretty tasty!

Delicious food! Generous pour on drinks!! The only downside, I wanted prime rib and they had run out. Pout!

This was a place I randomly stumbled upon with my family while we were looking for a new place to eat while on vacation. We had been driving around for sometime when we saw this and pulled in. We read the menu outside and everything sounded delicious. Before we even walked in, some patrons left and said "It's delicious. It really is." As we walked in we notice the decoration was a modern beach feel. Everything was extremely clean. We all either ordered steak or seafood platters. I personally ordered the ribeye and the sweet potato soufflé. It was so delicious I was almost upset there wasn't a place like this close to home. Everything I tried was on point. My brother got the seafood platter blackened and that had amazing flavor. Lastly we ordered the chocolate cake and it was beyond delicious. They don't serve you a small slice, they serve you about a 1/4 of a cake and it's soft and chocolately. We were all so glad we stumbled upon this place. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. Even the prices were very fair considering the flavor and serving sizes. Definitely coming back next vacation.

Went here on the second day of our visit for lunch. I had the grilled fish with coleslaw and potato salad. It was fine but I wish I would've gotten a small steak instead. I will get something different next time. The service was good the waitress was nice and attentive. I would say it would be a great place to do for dinner date. The atmosphere has a romantic feel too it.

Even as a native of the area, I had never visited Triple J before the recent remodel. As such, I can't really say how much they've improved, but I can say the decor is very contemporary for a steakhouse and I really enjoyed my food. My first piece of advice would be to be wary of choosing Triple J's for dinner. Prices looked to be rather high, and with so many great choices in the vicinity (Angelo's, Fishale, Boatyard) I'm not sure the full-on steak experience is worth it here. I visited during lunch, however, and found the prices and options to positively hit the spot. I chose "The Jake," which is a hamburger (ground chuck, according to the menu) with sauteed mushrooms, onions, and your choice of cheese (pepperjack in my case). I chose onions rings as the side. Everything was really, really good, and I'm particular with my burgers. Meat was juicy and tender (med. well), with a great bun and toppings. I also really enjoyed the onions rings, which had the weird batter consistency that seems to be the norm at places that fry a lot of seafood. I sat at the bar during my visit, and the bartender was friendly, efficient, and kept my (non-alcoholic) drink refilled promptly. All-in-all I left Triple J with a much better impression than word-of-mouth around town had led me to expect. Perhaps it's the remodel, perhaps the gossip was wrong, but regardless the verdict is in and I will be hard-pressed to avoid pulling into Triple J's for lunch again very soon.

Nothing vegan on this menu but I did eat well off the sides menu. The staff was GREAT and it was very quiet and romantic like. We went at about 6pm on Wednesday april 4th.

We stopped here for dinner. We got in quickly. The server was very friendly. My wife order a steak and baked potato. She said it was good. I ordered the sea food platter and thought it was excellent. It's a little pricey but not too bad. I would come back and recommend.

  • Matt F.

This is a great place to go if you need a break from seafood (all though there are still seafood options available). The prices are standard for a steakhouse, and the ribeye I had was excellent. Even with the food being so good, the service had to be the best part of our dinner. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the meal. I would definitely go back to Triple J's if I was in the area.

Me, my parents, and my sister came her eon July 14th, 2013 for dinner. We ate fairly late and were able to be immediately seated as there was many open tables and booths. I think the fact that it is a steakhouse, in seaside town where people want seafood, is what drives people away, They are missing out. From the waitress to the table bread, to the food and drinks, it was an enjoyable experience. You start with a whole loaf of soft bread brought to your table. Our sassy waitress was very helpful in picking out our drinks. the drink I got, the "comfortable pirate" was a nice before the meal spirit. It tasted quite sweet with an aftertaste akin to bubblegum. As for the entrees, the wedge bleu cheese salad I had beforehand surprised me with how tasty it was and I very much enjoyed my blackened Cajun whitefish topped with a shrimp remoulade sauce. My mom's grilled grouper was cooked to perfection, and my dads fried was also superb. The spinach side had a very nice taste to it, and was not over cooked like many vegetables tend to be. So if you think you can't get good seafood just because it says steakhouse, you are wrong. After all, if you look at the sign, the "J" in Triple J are three fish hooks.

Service and food were both good. I had the chicken Vera Cruz which was mediocre but nothing spectacular. My family ordered steaks, and said they were ok.

I ordered steak and ribs it was cold and tasteless. We had a party of 5 and we all agreed about the bad food. We talked to the manager he said it should be warm but did nothing about it. We will not be back. Angelo's is 10 times better

I was just in the newly remodeled Triple J's. Most noticeable are the new hardwood floors. They moved the booths from the middle to against the wall which really opens up the place. They also put up a wall on the right side of the bar to create a dinning area to the right with four-tops and a bar are to the left with high-tops. All-in-all it's an improvement. The menu looked the same -- basic southern fare at a good price.

We couldnt go to angelos so we decided to come here. The ranch salad dressing was different but a good different. The bread was wonderful and very soft. I ordered the filet mignon and it just melted in my mouth. No steak sauce needed! It seems like this is a hidden jewel, there were many local tags on cars in the parking lot. We will defentally visit this place again!

Went on a week night. Wasn't busy so I was seated immediately. Service was average to good. Steak was alright. I really liked the sweet potato souffle. I would say that this is a good local alternative to Outback or Longhorn as far as quality and price goes. Full bar with a decent wine list.

Excellent dinner. Blue cheese, wedge salad was fresh and cold, I had special which was 9oz filet, 4 sauteed shrimp and bernaise. My wife had NY Strip. Both steaks done perfectly. Very pleasant evening.

Have eaten at Triple J's in 2005, 2008 and now in 2009. The food is always good to excellent. The service is prompt and freindly. The prices are reasonable with a nice selection of specials. There is a nice atmosphere. And, parking is very convenient.

Mixed reviews made this a hard choice but glad we came here tonight. Large party not a long wait about an hour. Everywhere else was 2 hours. We had fried and grilled grouper. Both were good grilled had light flavor but both were cooked. Kids got chicken fingers steaks and ribs all looked good. Took awhile to get food but fresh bread and salads made it worth the wait. Not a bad place at all, there are lots of choices in pcb but this place just as good as the rest

Me and my family came here on a Sunday evening by chance. The place we were going to was closed on Sunday's and threw a wrench in our plans. We came across this place and gave it a shot we weren't let down. The food was fresh and great. I got a prime rib and macaroni and cheese. My wife for a ribeye. The atmosphere was great and had live music with a very entertaining musician who had a great sense of humor. The only knock and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the service was a little slow. The servers were friendly but they seemed a little behind on getting us stuff we needed. That made the stay longer and a little painstaking. Other than that though I highly recommend this place. Definitely worth coming back.

The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were great! We will definitely be back. Overall, our party had the filet, sirloin, and salmon and enjoyed them all. The sautéed burgundy mushrooms are amazing as well. The only thing I was not crazy about was the cheesy potatoes. They were a little dry, but overall the food was great.

I've had several meals here and never have been disappointed. The only thing I don't care for at this establishment is the dark setting. I've had to use the flashlight on my phone a lot when looking at the menu. The prices are reasonable for what you would pay at most steak houses. I do suggest this place to those that haven't tried it.

Arrived for dinner around 5:30 on a Thursday in June. Wife and I each ordered the seafood platter. I got mine grilled and she ordered her platter sauteed. I had a garden salad side and fried green tomatoes. She went with the soup djour (vegetable beef) and red skin mashed potatoes. We both ordered iced tea. Our server was very nice and quickly took our orders and brought our iced tea and a delicious loaf of warm bread. The wife's soup was good with lots of tender beef and fresh tasting veggies. My garden salad was very good, cold and crisp. It took a few minutes longer to get our meal than what I would normally expect. Total time between finishing our salad and getting our meals was 15-20 minutes. Not terrible, not great. The seafood platters ($27 each) came with 4 large scallops, 5 jumbo gulf shrimp, a nice size crab cake, and a medium size fish fillet. I can't recall what type of fish it was, however, it was very mild and was cooked to perfection. I preferred the more flavorful grilled platter that I got to the sautéed platter my wife chose. That said, they were both very good. Cooked just right and plenty of food. The crab cakes had a wonderful flavor. My wife and I both agreed on that. That said, there were bits of pecans in them, and while I thought that was a nice touch, she wasn't crazy about the texture that the pecans imparted. The fried green tomatoes were the worst part of my dinner. The breading (batter?) was too thick and it was tough and chewy. The tomatoes were rather hard and undercooked as well. I only ate one and left two untouched. They had a girl there singing and playing guitar for live entertainment. I'd like to think the lousy acoustics are what made her sound so bad but who knows. Our server Stephanie was a breath of fresh air. Very friendly and attentive even though she was very busy. Dinner came to around $57 plus tip. We'll most likely be back.

Food was great! Steak was very tender. We ate everything, no leftovers. Service was decent. We sat in the bar area so the two bar tenders had their hands full with all their tables being full. Would definitely recommend if you are wanting a great steak.

Just finished here with my family on our first night visiting Panama City. One word...divine. Our waiter Elijah went over and beyond to make sure he served my family in the best service possible. Everybody was satisfied... Standouts: shrimp and grits with crawfish étouffée, blackened white fish, and center cut pork chops. Definitely worth it! Loved it.

We ate here for a business lunch with 4 of us. I had their ranch chicken salad. The greens were fresh and the chicken was plentiful. I really enjoyed it with their homemade ranch dressing. The other dishes look pretty good and everyone seemed to like what they got. The service was pretty good despite being pretty busy. A great place for lunch in the Panama City area if near the Navy base.

A fine steak house done right! A Roadhouse feel inside, serving Smith and Wollensky food! My shrimp, salad, steak and Cole slaw were all killer! Steak was cooked perfectly and service was outstanding. I highly recommend!

  • Dave B.

Consistently good food and service every time we eat here. I ordered the dinner special which included an 8 oz. sirloin, 5 large shrimp and a nice blue cheese wedge salad for $17.99. The steak was flavorful and cooked perfectly to order. Also ordered a crab cake on the side, which was very tasty. Our server was great, nice atmosphere and it's not hard to understand why locals frequent this established PCB restaurant over many others in the area.
